Transport network

Loading the selected network…

Changing the network recalculates exposure against the current hazard evidence. Export first to keep the current analysis.

Your asset inventory

Import a GeoJSON FeatureCollection in WGS84. Up to 2,000 assets and 3 MB.

Downtown Houston roads

556 OpenStreetMap road segments. Limited downtown coverage; default criticality requires operator review.

GeoJSON fields and supported assets

Coordinates use [longitude, latitude]. Supported geometries: Point, LineString, MultiLineString, Polygon, and MultiPolygon.

Optional properties: id (unique), name, asset_type (road, rail, bridge, station, airport, port), criticality (1–5; default 3), and is_demo (true for synthetic assets).

Analyze flood exposure

Source: Copernicus Global Flood Monitoring (GFM). Retrieves satellite observations on request.

Using the illustrative Harris County transport network.
Area of interest WGS84 · up to 0.5° per side
Observation window Up to 31 days · UTC

Up to 3 matching scenes are processed. Exposure is observed within the selected window; footprints may not be simultaneous. This is not a current inundation snapshot. A successful query replaces the current analysis.

Hazard sources

Sources available for analysis. Query coverage and processing status appear with each result.

Export analysis

Includes all results, observation dates, freshness, source references, and demo labels. Queue filters do not limit the export.

Interpret exposure results

Potential exposure

TIMS intersects mapped hazard footprints with the selected transport network. This measures geometric overlap; it does not determine flood depth, passability, damage, closures, or safe detours. No detected exposure does not establish safe passage.

Screening priority

Flood priority combines exposure fraction and asset criticality. Review the measured overlap, reasons, and source evidence for each asset, then verify conditions with the relevant operator. Unknown priority means an appropriate hazard rule is unavailable.

Evidence time and coverage

All times are UTC. Freshness is relative to the analysis reference time, including historical queries and demos. Evidence older than 24 hours is stale. Combined footprints may come from different times within the query window. Source confidence is not a probability of road failure; unknown confidence remains unknown.

Demonstration and session state

The initial scenario uses synthetic hazards and an illustrative Houston network dated 28 September 2024. Choose Network to import your inventory or load the limited downtown road snapshot. Queries run on request; TIMS V1 does not continuously monitor or save analysis history. Export before leaving or replacing results.
